As much as I love summer, autumn has to be my favorite season. The leaves changing colors, the cool temperature, all the pumpkins on display! Check out these adorable owl candle holders!! Got them at the dollar store for JUST a dollar!
I LOVE pumpkin anything, especially during my favorite season! I found this little recipe on Truleylovely and decided to try it out! It is soo simple to make, I cant believe I haven’t tried this sooner!
Things you need:
Box of spice cake
3 eggs
1 1/3 cup of water
apple sauce
1 can pumpkin pure
cinnamon
sprinkles
cream cheese frosting
food coloring (optional)
Add all the ingredients according to the box. Mine needed 3 eggs, 1 1/3 water, and oil. Substitute apple sauce for oil. (MAKE SURE YOU DONT USE MORE APPLESAUCE THEN REQUIRED!!!) Once, everything is mixed together, dump the pumpkin pure into your mixture.
After everything is mixed together, go ahead and fill your up your cupcakes with the batter!
I baked mine in the oven at 350 for about 20 mins. Just make sure your toothpick comes out clean when poked!
Let your cupcakes cool and frost them! If you like you can always add a bit of food coloring to your frosting. (orange, yellow, ect.) Add a dash of cinnamon, and finish them off with some festive sprinkles!
Enjoy!
